Fuller's NBOC - Northern Michigan Fishing ReportSeptember 7, 2010
Fall is almost here!!!
Cool weather has been the norm here in the North the past couple weeks, along with rain. Signs of Fall are starting to appear including the beautiful colors on the wild brookies!
Blue wing olives have been hatching most days and have been the fly of choice for most of our trips. Dry fly fishing remains very good on the North Branch. Borcher's Special and BWO parachutes have been fishing very good. Also fishing some beadhead droppers early and late in the day. Copper johns and pheasant tails have been the most productive.
The other sign of Fall around here is riverboats and drift boats out front of the Lodge. The guys have been chasing trout and Salmon the past couple of weeks. Good numbers of Salmon have started pushing up the rivers and the action is heating up!
The Betsie and Manistee River have been producing some very nice fish and are fishing well. So, if you are interested in getting in on some of the Salmon and Steelhead action, give us a call or email. We still have dates available on both of these rivers.
Bird season is only a week away. Almost time to hit the Grouse Woods! This is one of the best times here in Northern Michigan. Our cast and blast trips will start Sept 15 and will run through October.
We still have dates open through October, so give us a call or email. 989-348-7951 - email@example.com Get your trip booked today!
