Fuller's NBOC - Northern Michigan Fishing ReportSeptember 29, 2010
Fall Season is in full swing!!!
It is that time of year here in Northern Michigan. You can find our clients on the water and in the woods hunting upland birds.
Dry fly fishing has been very good with lot's of Blue wing olives hatching during the heat of the day. The river is in great shape and the wild brookies are in their beautiful spawning colors. This time of year you have to be really careful where you wade. Please try not to step on the redds these fish have made to propagate the species. Borcher's Special and BWO parachutes are the fly of choice along with Copper johns and pheasant tail droppers.
We have also been busy chasing the big fish on the Betsie and Manistee Rivers. Jamie, Chris,Bear and I have had several great trips this month with Salmon and a few Steelhead on fly.
The Betsie and Manistee River have been producing some very nice fish and are fishing well. So, if you are interested in getting in on some of the Salmon and Steelhead action, give us a call or email. We still have dates available on both of these rivers.
It is great time to be in Northern Michigan. So if your looking for your trout fix, Salmon, Steelhead, or chasing grouse in the woods, we can provide you with an awesome experience!
